“MacDon has shown that they have listened to farmers with the improvements that have been made on the 3020. In the past, our pull-types have had trouble in heavy crop. Without modification to the height, material would consistently block up and that caused a lot of frustration because we had to stop frequently; but the 3020’s adjustable height opening, together with a double V belt drive to the drapers and improved spring tension for the draper drive belts, have addressed the problems. Material doesn’t block up like it used to in heavy crop, and I estimate we are 10% to 20% more efficient in our harvesting as a result. We are also experiencing less seed loss. I especially like that the 3020 comes factory ready for canola, without the need for modifications as had to be made to previous pull-types. For me, MacDon’s 3020 is the best pull-type to date for canola.”
